Pavel Milyukov

Pavel Milyukov was born in Perm. He began studying violin at the age of four with Tatyana Shevtsova. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory studying under Vladimir Ivanov, and he is currently pursuing advanced studies at the Conservatory.

He has won prizes in international competitions in Togliatti (2002, First Prize) and Kloster Shöntal (2003, Germany, Second Prize), the Ersi Sarazzi Competition (2004, Greece, First Prize), the Robert Canetti Competition (2005, Hungary, First Prize), the Yampolsky Competition (2006, Moscow), the Paganini Competition (2007, Moscow) the David Oistrakh Violin Competition (2007, Moscow), the International Violin Competition in Astana (2008, Kazakhstan, Grand Prix), and the First All-Russian Music Competition (2010, Second Prize).

He performs at the most prominent venues in Russia and has gone on tour in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Greece, South Korea and China. He was recipient of a stipend from the Saint Petersburg House of Music and Bank Rossiya (2008, 2009). Since 2009 he has been a soloist with the Saint Petersburg House of Music.

Pavel Milyukov plays on a violin provided by the State Collection of Unique Musical Instruments (Moscow, Russia).
