Kristina Alieva

Kristina Alieva graduated in 2012 from the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Music and Theatre studying under Vera Baranova. In 2014 she received an advanced degree from the Herzen State Pedagogical University where she studied under Larisa Shevchenko. She has won prizes in international competitions, the latest of which was the Grand Prix from the Fourth Shtokolov International Vocal Competition (Saint Petersburg, 2014).

While she was still studying at the Academy, she interned at the Krasnoyarsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet itself where she interpreted the roles of Gianetta and Carmela in “L’elisir d’amore”, Kostya in “Why Do Foxes Have Hares’ Ears”, Mirabella in a Strauss gala show, the Page in “Rigoletto”, the Cat in “The Bremen Town Musicians”, the title role in “The Snow Maiden” and the soprano part in the Russian premiere of Daniel Fanshawe’s “African Sanctus” conducted by Dmitry Khodosh.

With the Mariinsky Theatre troupe Kristina Alieva has toured Germany and the UK.

In 2013 she played the role of the Flea in the world premiere of Rodion Shchedrin’s opera “The Left Hander” with Valery Gergiev at the podium.
